Formed in 2004, MiCardia Corporation is dedicated to designing, developing and commercializing innovative methods for treating heart disease.

Since its inception, the company has built an experienced technical and clinical team, while creating a comprehensive intellectual property portfolio. Clinical trials have been completed for enCor™, a dynamically activated annuloplasty device that corrects residual mitral regurgitation , intra-operatively, on a beating heart. A second generation device, using the dynamic technology, will begin clinical trials in Q4 of 2010. The enCorSQ™ is unique in its ability to effect recurrent mitral regurgitation days, months or years after the initial procedure, without an additional surgery.
